Mellin Crafts proudly donates $1 per order to one of the charities listed below. These organizations are leading the fight to safeguard our oceans, and protect our land. Many animals are in need, or in danger because of inhumane practices. Our goal is to help them fight.
Animal Welfare Institute
The Animal Welfare Institute started in 1951 to rescue animals from experimental laboratories. Today, they are still mainly involved in limiting animal research and education and advocacy nonprofits. They also provide information and ways for their supporters to make a change in their community.
The Animal Welfare Institute was integral in the passing of the Animal Welfare Act in 1966. They continue to fight for strict adherence to that law.
Marine Conservation Institute
The Marine Conservation Institute works to safeguard our oceans’ diversity by providing governments with marine reserve protection guidelines through their Blue Parks Initiative. Their Marine Protection Atlas is a real-time global online resource to identify and track fully or highly protected marine areas. The charity also conducts field research in vital biodiversity areas such as coral reefs, to identify new areas in need of protection.

​Through their collaboration with the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Marine Conservation Institute has stabilized populations of the critically endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal.
how we give back
Our initiative started in 2023, and we will make a large donation in December of each year for an amount totally 1$ per order. We're proud to support endangered animals & conservation efforts. This is our planet, and we only get one.
